This coffee comes from the Thimu wet mill, a place steeped in the history of centuries of coffee planters. About 3000 farmers use the Thimu wet mill
process their harvest. The Kiringa River provides fresh water, essential for
effective fermentation. The Baragwi Farmers Co-op is named after the small
village where it is located. It borders the locations of Ngariama and Njuki-ini
the locations East, Kabare and Kirima in the west; Mount Kenya in the north and
Mwea Division in the south. This region is rich in volcanic soil and is known for its smooth body that supports the dynamic acidity that makes Kenyan coffee so unique. The Baragwi Cooperative has over 16,892 registered members.
